South Africa’s wicket keeper batsman Quinton de Kock scored a brilliant century against the Indians in the 3rd and final ODI currently being played at Centurion.
With today’s nicely composed 124, de Kock currently has 6 centuries against India. Overall, he has 17 centuries under his name in ODIs.
Incidentally, Sri Lanka’s Sanath Jayasuriya holds the record for scoring the highest number of ODI centuries against India. The former SL skipper scored 7 centuries against India in 89 games.
Quinton de Kock however has a remarkable record against India as it only took 16 matches for him to score 6 centuries against the giants of world cricket. He has also scored 2 50’s against them.
He currently averages 63.31 against India in ODI cricket with a total of 1013 runs at a strike rate of 92.59.
Apart from de Kock, Kumar Sangakkara, AB de Villiers and Ricky Ponting have each scored 6 centuries against the Indians in the 50-over format.
