Maheesh Theekshana has showed the world his impressive skills taking 8 wickets in the first round in the T20 World Cup.
Maheesh who’ll be probably be rested in the game against Bangladesh due to injury debuted for Sri Lanka in the ODI series against South Africa, and took four wickets in his first game. Playing six T20s up to date Maheesh has taken 9 wickets with an average of 15.33 and impressive economy rate of 6.57.
Sports Journalist Rex Clemantine tweeted on the story of how Sri Lanka former player and Jaffna Kings captain Thisera Perera influenced adding Maheesh to Jaffna team. “So many fans disappointed Maheesh Theekshana won’t play tomorrow and so many more asking when will he rerun.
