No.1 T20 ranked England thrashed defending champions West Indies by 6 wickets today in Dubai, bowling out the mighty Windies for a mere 55 runs.

English Leg spinner Adil Rashid returned brilliant figures of 2.2 overs- 2 runs – 4 wickets.

It gave reminiscences of Rangana’s Herath’s heroics in the 2014 t20 World Cup, where he returned match winning, possibly tournament winning figures of 3.3 overs- 3 runs – 5 wickets against New Zealand.

Interestingly, Rashid equaled Herath’s economy rate of 0.85 in today’s match, which is the lowest economy rate by a bowler with more than 3 wickets in an innings.

Meanwhile, West Indies’ team totals of 55 today makes it the 3rd lowest total in T20 World Cups. Previously, the 3rd lowest total was New Zealand’s 60 all-out in the 2014 encounter against SL, where Herath recorded the above magnificent figures.
