Joining as the guest for the day in the ‘Payback’ cricket talk show, former Sri Lankan fast bowler Farveez Mahroof accurately predicted Avishka Fernando’s dismissal against Ireland today.
Speaking in the show, Maharoof said that if he is the fast bowler trying to dismiss Avishka, he would try to pitch the ball up to the batsman and try to swing it into the right hander.
Incidentally, that’s the exact mode of dismissal for Avishka today when he walked in at No.4. He was dismissed for a golden duck as Irish pacer Josh Little brought the ball into Avishka and got him out bowled to put Sri Lanka in a spot of bother.
