Sri Lanka start off World Cup campaign with an easy win over Namibia

Chasing a target of 97 runs, Sri Lanka were in a spot of bother losing 3 wickets for 22 but classy partnership between Avishka Fernando and Banuka Rajapakse took Sri Lanka home with 5 overs to spare.

Earlier Namibia were bowled out in 19.3 overs after posting 96 runs in T20 World Cup’s Group A Round 1 clash at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Craig Williams top-scored for the side with a knock of 29 runs in 36 balls. Gerhard Erasmus also played a knock of 20 in 19 deliveries. Meanwhile, Maheesh Theekshana was in top form and took three wickets. Lahiru Kumara and Wanindu Hasaranga took two wickets each for Sri Lanka.
