Sri Lanka’s new ODI captain Kusal Perera says that “Fearless Cricket” will be the way forward for Sri Lanka in ODIs.
Talking in his first ‘virtual presser’ as skipper, Perera said that he wants to create a winning culture within the team.
He also confirmed that he will be keeping wickets in the upcoming Bangladesh series.
Answering a question raised by a journalist if his usually quiet character in the field will change with the captaincy, Kusal said that he does not intent to talk unnecessarily.
“It doesn’t matter if one talks more or less, what’s important is that the right instructions are given to players at the right time. Talking unnecessarily sometimes can annoy the players” Kusal said.
