India are set to tour Sri Lanka in July this year to play 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is.
As per SLC’s proposed itinerary, the series will begin with the 3 ODIs and will be followed by the T20Is. The venues have not been finalized yet.
Previously, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly had indicated that India will travel to Sri Lanka this season for a white ball tour.
However, none of India’s Test players – some who are also first choice white ball picks will not be part of this tour as the squad will be staying back in the UK for the 5-Match Test series against England, after competing in the World Tests Championship Finals against New Zealand, scheduled to take place from 18-22 June in Southampton.
This will also be Sri Lanka’s immediate assignment after they return home from England, where they are scheduled to play 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs.
