Gautam Gambhir and Graeme Swann felt umpire was at fault for judging Rahul Tripathi’s diving catch not clean. In the studio session after the game they said that this decision is a huge blunder and would impact KKRs qualification for the playoff as well.

All important game between Kolkatta Knight Riders and Panjab Kings turned into controversy when KL Rahul was caught out (or appeared to be) in the deep by Rahul Tripathi diving forward in the 19th over. A short ball from Shivam Mavi was swivelled and pulled towards the deep where Tripathi ran in and dove forward to complete a spectacular catch. Well, almost.
The third umpire was consulted to check if the catch was taken cleanly and the replays painted a bleak picture. The third umpire, Anil Dandekar, went through multiple replays to see if the ball had touched the grass before the catch was taken.
It appeared as though it hadn’t, but on multiple ‘rock and rolls’, the TV umpire declared that the ball had been grassed just after the catch was completed. In a controversial moment he declared that he had made the decision and that the catch was not clean.

KKR went on to lose the game as Shahrukh Khan balsted a six later in the game although there were a few other tense moments as KL Rahul was out caught in the final over shortly after smashing a boundary in the same over the controversial catch was decided not out.

What do you think? Out or not out?
