Cricket Analyst on Twitter, @cricketwithAsh provided some insightful information on how Wanindu has changed his action compared to the start of the IPL season and the impact it has made.
Hasaranga has made some technical changes through the course of this IPL. Coming into the IPL and in the initial few matches this season, he was bowling from much closer to the stumps. Now he's bowling more from middle of the crease. This has had a positive impact on his action

Here's what I think is a result of this change. Bowling slightly wider from the crease allows Hasaranga the extra room to pivot and put more body into his action. A few indicators show Hasaranga is in fact putting more body into his action in recent matches.

The image above shows how Hasaranga's front leg is kicking up higher and around his front leg now as opposed to the initial few matches. Another indicator is where the bowling arm ends up. It ends up nice and high, often an indicator of a strong pivot, in the recent matches.

Apart from that, the RCB video released yesterday talked about how his run up pace was fine tuned to be more consistent than before. This also talks about the wider delivery point he has now.

Not sure how much correlated the wider release point and his stronger pivot is, but Hasaranga's stronger finish to his action is sure to help him impart more revolutions on the ball and probably help his speed too.
