Former Sri Lanka captain and wicketkeeper Kumar Sangakkara has corrected ICC on its birthday post for MS Dhoni and said that the Indian great was the “fastest hands in the world” and not “just in the East” during his time in international cricket.

Wishes have poured in millions for the former India captain MS Dhoni on his 40th birthday on Wednesday. Cricketers, actors, politicians and fans have showered the Ranchi-born with love throughout the day.
Everyone tried to bring in their best birthday wish for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain. In one such tweet, International Cricket Council (ICC) posted a 1-minute-34-second video showing Dhoni stumping batsmen from around the world.
“MS Dhoni: The Quickest Hands in the East,” ICC titled the video.

The video was an instant hit and was retweeted over 5,500 times by 8 pm. The post also grabbed the attention of Kumar Sangakkara, the former Sri Lanka captain and one of the best wicketkeeper-batsmen the game has seen.
Sangakkara pointed out that MS Dhoni was “the fastest hand in the world” and not “just in the East” during his time in international cricket. The generous and humble remark from Sangakkara won the hearts of the fans.

MS Dhoni affected 195 stumpings in his international career. Sangakkara, on the other hand, pulled off 139 of them. Dhoni, the only captain to win all the ICC titles in the limited-overs format, has 217 stumpings to his name in the Indian Premier League.
