SL’s batting performance in the series goes into history books for six ‘Worst’ reasons.

England coasted to an 89-run victory to in the 3rd T20 to secure a 3-0 series sweep over Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka’s woeful performance with the bat in the series was considered as the worst ever Sri Lankan performance and went on to the history books for worst reasons.

1. Sri Lanka’s batting strike rate of 85.02 in this series is the lowest for any full-member team in any T20I series/tournament.

2. The 89 run defeat in the 3rd T20 was Sri Lanka’s 3rd biggest T20I loss by runs

3. Sri Lanka’s 91 runs in the 3rd ODI is the Sri Lanka’s fourth lowest T20I score.

4. The 111 scored in the 2nd T20 was the Lowest Score for Sri Lanka in T20Is batting first, full 20 overs.

5. TheI 2nd T20 was the 1st time in T20Is Sri Lanka have batted a six-over powerplay without scoring a boundary.

6. According to the CricViz, Sri Lanka’s false shot percentage in the 3rd T20 is the highest for any team in the first 10 overs of an innings.

Biggest worry for Sri Lanka in this tour was the lack of runs in power play. Since the start of 2020 Sri Lanka have lost a wicket once in 16 balls in the first six overs, with only West Indies losing wicket at a quicker rate.
