The top two teams in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings – New Zealand and India – will lock horns with each other in the first-ever World Test Championship (WTC) final, starting on June 18, at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.
Former Sri Lankan Captain Mahela Jayawardana thinks that India are slightly ahead going into the game.
“It was a fierce battle between India and New Zealand to get into that top two. The two teams who were most consistent and probably have the best bowling attacks have reached the final. I put the Indian team slightly in front, but New Zealand have that never say die attitude.” Mahela said.
