The BCCI has announced that the remainder of the IPL 2021, which was suspended prematurely due to the Covid 19 pandemic in India, will take place in UAE during September – October this year.
The decision was taken at a special BCCI general body meeting held today ( 29th ). In an announcement, the BCCI has said that they have chosen UAE as the venue to complete the remainder of the IPL considering the Monsoon season in India in the months of September – October.
With the packed international scheduled it is unclear about the availability of foreign players who will be able to participate in the league in the new suggested window.
India however is scheduled to host the T20 world cup in October later this year.
