ICC elite panel umpire, Kumar Dharmasena has named his all-time best XI.
Dharmasena, who played for Sri Lanka from 1993 to 2004, took duties as an international cricket umpire in 2009. He was appointed to the ICC elite panel of umpires in 2011. Since then he has been regarded as one of the finest umpires in modern time.
Umpire Dharmasena’s all-time team captained by Ricky Ponting consists of 4 Australian greats and 3 of Sri Lanka’s greatest, Sanath Jayasuriya, Muttiah Muralidaran and Kumar Sangakkara, who has been named as the wicketkeeper.
Dharmasena has named one player each from India, Pakistan and The West Indies, who are considered as some of the greatest to have played the game.
