Video analyst of Bangladesh Cricket team, Shrinivas Chandrasekaran has said that they have plans for Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga, when Bangladesh take on Sri Lanka in the 3 match ODI series later this month.

Chandrasekaran has told Cricbuzz that they consider Wanindu as a threat.

“If we don’t pick him from hand, it’s best to play him as a googly bowler for a right handed batsmen, because that’s what gives him most of his wickets” he said.

“If he don’t give him wickets this series, we will keep posting big totals” he went on to say.

Wanindu Hasranga has so far been an excellent ‘attacking’ addition to Sri Lanka’s line up, considering his ability with the bat as well. He has so far played 18 ODIs and taken 18 wickets at an average of 37.22 and economy rate of 5.26.

His bowling performances in recent matches have looked promising, largely in the T20Is. He has picked up 24 wickets in just the 16 matches at an excellent average of 14. He is also very economical in the format as he gives away only 6.76 runs per over.
